People keep comparing the removal of American children from their parents when the parents are deemed unfit or have committed a crime and must serve time to how the immigrants children are being treated.

In my experience, In those cases family members or close friends are given the first opportunity to care for the children until parents are able to fulfill their penalties or complete a treatment program and can resume their parenting duties.

The big difference with the immigration children is these children have been placed in confined camps or have been bused to many different holding centers in our country. They are with strangers who cannot communicate with or comfort these traumatized children. It has been reported that approximately 1400 have been lost in the system.

There was no plan in place for reuniting these children with families. Some parents have already been deported with no known address for future contact in reuniting the children with their birth parents.

Now it’s come out that Betsy Voss and her friend who owns an adoption agency are taking some of these children and placing them up for adoption without legal consent or allowing the parents to relinquish parental rights. This is no short of kidnapping.

Why is this acceptable?  If American children were taken away and treated in this manner the world would be outraged.  Why does the color of ones skin determine acceptable treatment?

Have we really become so hardened to the plight of those who flee from unimaginable circumstances?   Do we really believe that exploiting innocent, defenseless children is the answer to Immigration.

Trump’s zero tolerance policy is saturated in bigotry.  Using children to punish adults goes against ethics, morals and humanity.  I’ve never seen our country so divided and full of hate.  Children are born into their circumstances.  They are the innocent victims.  Their skin color and ethnicity should not deem how they are treated under any circumstances.

For those of you who feel they are taking away from your entitlement, think again.  It’s not those children who are responsible for cutting funding to programs that help the homeless and the working class poor. It’s not the children cutting benefits to Medicare and Medicaid.  It’s not the children who have misused the Bible to justify their hate.

The children are the ones who suffer due to the selfishness, ugliness and hypocrisy that flows down from adults who have forgotten what it’s like to be vulnerable and dependent on adults for protection and compassion.

This is what the Real Bible states on children……..

Mark 9:37

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me;

Mark 10:14

“When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”.
