’ve seen a lot of these posts on people’s pages lately that somehow imply that Dads just don’t pull as much weight as Moms.

I could understand this if it was back in the 1970s when Dad would work his 9-5 job, come home, eat the dinner that he expected Mom to prepare (and clean up), and then sit on the couch reading the paper until it was time to watch the news and then go off to bed.

But it’s 2014. Things are much different now. For example, I’m sitting here on the couch with my feet propped up writing this and I notice a Barbie on the floor. If it was the days of old, the Dad might have yelled for the Mom to come pick it up, or worse yet, the Barbie wouldn’t have even been on the floor, because Dad would’ve expected Mom to be on a continuous patrol of the house, to make sure there was nothing on the floor or out of place.

Well, I say, not nowadays and not in my house! I’m a contributor!
