I love working. Its part of who I am. I like the challenges and the creativity and finding solutions. I love the rush of excitement after I’ve created something or accomplished a difficult task.
Since becoming a mother I’ve always seen it as a job. As Renegade Mothering so aptly put it, I had a hard time reconciling becoming a mother and leaving the woman (girl?) I was behind.
Maybe in some way I’ve been trying to retain that part of myself, the part that has the drive and the motivation to do anything she sets her mind to, and in doing so my focus hasn’t shifted into motherhood completely.
