Ok look, I’m sick to death of the debate as to whether a stay at home mom works harder than a work outside the home mom. Shut up already about this. I was so utterly disgusted this morning when an online organization I respect promoted a post stating that being a stay at home mom is harder than being a CEO. WTF?
First off, was the writer actually a CEO at some point? From what I can tell, most likely not. So there isn’t even any actual experience to base this shit on.
Second, let’s take the CEO part out of the equation and just say employed outside the home. It makes no difference. This whole crazy motherhood competition crap needs to stop. Nobody has is easier or harder because of this one piece of the puzzle. I have done both. I do speak from experience. Each position has its challenges and has its rewards. Don’t be a bloody martyr. If it’s soooooo hard doing what you do then switch it up. Get a job, quit your job. Whatever. Just stop bitching about it.
You are not a better mother because you stay at home and you are not a better mother because you work. You are a good mother because of WHO you are, not because of what you do. We all make sacrifices. We all make decisions what we feel are best for our family. Pat yourself on the back if you feel the need to but then maybe just be quiet.

Since we’re done with that topic, let’s get into the debate about whether it’s harder to raise multiples than kids a few years a part.
I always enjoy that one.
I am a better mother because I drink. I teach my children to be responsible by having them hold my hair back over the toilet, tuck me into bed when I have fallen on the floor, and drive me home when I have had too much at a play date. The older one steers and the other one works the pedals.
