I am not a gamer myself. However I am not opposed to video games if they’re educational and used wisely. I even believe that they can help your child learn! I used to play a lot of video games when I was a child: “Civilization”, “The Incredible Machine”, “Sim City 2000” and other, less educational games.
Years later, at the University, I took part in a game researching project. Together with a team of fellow students, I went to the World Cyber Games, the Olympic of video games in Cologne, and interviewed gamers and their couches. I even got published!
Then I read a post called: “Ways Parenting Is Like A Football Game” (there are even several , here and here, just to name a few) and had a revelation: Parenting is also like a video game in some ways,
