Welcome to the maiden voyage of the Boozy BLUNTmoms, a section of the site we’ve devoted to some very special recipes. Because sometimes life is more fun and a little bit tastier when you consume delicious, delicious ethanol in all it’s wondrous varieties. Wait–sorry, that was my FoodRetro food geek persona, where I like to revel in all trivia that might win me Jeopardy some day. Hang on, let me grab my BLUNThat and try again.

Welcome to the Boozy BLUNTmoms, where all the recipes contain great food with great alcohol. … Because sometimes we like an excuse to uncork that wine bottle at the end of the day!

This hearty rustic stew is a snap to toss together with whatever veggies you have on hand. Personally, I like to call these recipes the “fridge cleaners.” And if you usually aren’t fussy about lamb, you have GOT to try it with some cayenne. It’s warming and hearty, and has a spicy kick to it that is mild enough for younger children but you can easily amp up to suit personal preferences. Better the next day… if you actually have any leftovers.

Anne usually speaks in memes and SAT words, and she frequently attempts to explain the laws of physics and high school chemistry according to the kitchen via her home blog FoodRetro. If you want to know why ice melts or pretzels turn brown, and you want to make food that you never imagined could be made from scratch in the process, she's your blogger. Her friends describe her as "hilarious when you get to know her," but it could be that they are just amused by the way she gets riled up when reading the paper. She can also be found playing the part of community editor and grammar nazi here on BLUNTmoms.
