To our dear readers,

BluntMoms writers and editorial board want to reach out and tell you we are thinking of all the Mothers out there; we share your pain during this horrific pandemic. There is no comfort that mere words on a page can give to the Moms of the world, although we would like to pull you under our wings and tell you it will be alright.

We want to let you know that we are all in the same boat together. Our hearts are pulled in many directions too, and our world has been turned upside down like yours likely has been too. We are all mothers with children of every age, and we worry about them every minute, just like you do.

All Moms are the worriers, and the warriors in society. We fight to protect our families from every threat  that would do them harm. Now the threat has gotten very real and Mothers are the first and last line of defense for our families. This is our reality.

These times of terrifying affliction, collapsing income and insecure health care are unprecedented, it is okay to panic. But panic doesn’t mean that society can lose its guardians, the mothers. We must persevere.

Be strong, be kind and above all, be fierce. Protect your loved ones in the way only Mothers can, we will all get through this. You can do this, we can all do this. We will come out on the other side.

As for BluntMoms, we will keep writing and publishing to make sure our readers know we are here, and make sure you can take a break in your day to hang out with us.

*If you are confined in a situation where you are experiencing abuse, contact local social services or law enforcement in your area. You don’t have to take it.

She is the Editor in Chief at BluntMoms. Other places to find her: Huffington Post, The Mighty and Modern Loss. You can also check her out in two amazing compendiums of bloggers who are published in “I Just Want To Be Alone.” And most recently, Martinis and Motherhood, Tales of Wonder, Woe and WTF
