Today is an anniversary of deep and meaningful remembrance.
It represents an event that ripped a terrible black hole in the heart of humanity.
This isn’t about Americans, this is about tragedy. There are many incidents that have taken more lives in our history, by far, but it was the fact that it changed people to no longer consider safety as a given. Nobody has felt quite as safe since the towers came down.
As Mothers, we grieve for everyone touched by the death and trauma that has reverberated through us all for the last 12 years. Our hearts are heavy on this day but full of love that we send out to those who suffer still.
