I don’t know about you, but we certainly have been making the most of the free-preview month in our household! Shove over, you oldschool wildlife channels, there’s a new premium bad boy in town.
And it’s sooooo cute.
I love nature shows, because it’s a perfect compromise between letting the kids stare at a screen and having them do something educational. They get to be lazy; we get a few minutes peace while making supper. Everybody wins.
Love Nature has exclusive content from around the globe, and shot in high quality. The fuzzy, low-quality PBS shows, this ain’t. We’ve been loading up on Zoo Juniors, a show about newly-born and toddler animals learning just what it’s like to be a celebrated little baby in a modern zoo. The little polar bear learning to walk totally captivated our hearts.
Okay, he totally captivated my heart. What can I say, ever since I had a little baby “animal” of my own, I’ve been a total sucker for this sort of thing. But seriously, I don’t see how anyone can’t get the warm-fuzzies watching this:
There’s way more than infant animals to be had, too. Hubs has been engrossed in Great Lakes Wild and my son, who is a huge fan of all things space, is all over Cosmic Vistas. And the best part (in my opinion) is… it’s commercial-free.
