Dear readers,

We stand with the majority of American voters in rejecting messages of hate and intolerance, of bigotry and sexism, of anti-choice and pro-guns. This is not a new position for us. As mothers, daughters, wives, fathers, husbands and sons, we have always had the hope and heart of the generations to come at the core of our messages.

Regardless of who sits in the US White House, our position does not and will not change. In the coming months you can expect for us to continue to publish posts in the same way as we have always done. We will provide an outlet for male and female voices who promote positive changes, who champion minorities, who call for acceptance of differences. We will share stories that explain why women should be the only ones making decisions about their bodies. We will offer an anonymous haven for personal and often tragic stories. We will call, as many times as is needed, for gun control.

We will wrap these messages up in a cocoon of hilarious stories, the original takes on daily life, and the heartwarming comedies that keep us going in both light and dark days.

We are BLUNTmoms. We have never been, nor will be afraid to state our opinions, to speak out on the big issues and to push for societal change. We are also Mama Bears, the strongest and most fierce warriors you would ever want in your corner.

We hope you will come along with us.

Sincerely,

The Editorial Team

  1. I applaud your stand in women’s issues. I do feel, however that with this last election that was nasty on BOTH SIDES, it is important to expand and understand the reasons for the choices that people make. While I do stand for the right for women to make the choice for their bodies, I think the argument for late term abortion is wrong. With the advancement of technology these days, babies can live outside of the womb as early as 4 1/2-5 months of gestation. For that reason, my opinion is that it should be considered murder, unless there is no fetal heartbeat. After all, there are so many families that want so badly to adopt a baby, that it should also be a consideration. I do think that LATE TERM ABORTION is the bigger argument between the parties and women have taken such a violent stand that is uncalled for. I certainly think it’s a woman’s right to abort EARLY on in pregnancy.
Everyone has the right to their opinion, but to react so violently, as they do on The View for example, does women more of an injustice than help. There are better ways to DISCUSS, rather than yell at each other and if anyone thinks that Trump is going to simply outlaw abortions, then I think it’s time to go back to school and learn more about the procedures in our justice system.
It is my hope that with all of the disagreements in this country that instead of acting out as hysterical women, we take the high road and PEACEFULLY protest and stop the drama. It doesn’t make our case. While we are making progress in this “man’s world”, we have a big job of showing our negotiation skills in a calmer manner than what has been previously shown.
I didn’t like what either party said about women’s rights. Neither presented themselves very professionally at all. So the bigger job is how we are going to be heard and not look like hysterical, hormonal women.
