They say the holidays are for the kids, but as a parent, I disagree. The holidays are about NEW TOYS, and these days the toys are getting more and more awesome. I grew up in a time when Robots were the “future,” so you get something robotic in my house, and I feel like I am living the dream!
This month we rounded up our FAVOURITE TOYS TO STEAL from the kids! This way, you can give them something cool, AND get first dibs on using it!

Playmation Avengers Do you remember the Power Glove? OK maybe that was before time. All you need to know was that the Power Glove was made of broken dreams. YummyNummies – We love these mini sets of REAL food so much we will eat ALL THE CAKES. I was an easy bake oven gal, so know the joy of making tiny food all by myself as a kid, well the YummyNummies are like easy bake on crack! They are CRAZY delicious, and who doesn’t want to eat a teeny tiny one bite and its gone birthday cake. They also do mini pizza’s, and cookies… and now I know what I am buying the next time “shark week” happens at our house!
Vtech Kidizoom Watch Why do we want this? Because WE had an Apple watch on our list. WE want a video watch that we can play games on, and take pictures with. We want the cool stuff and it JUST ISN’T FAIR that the kids get everything.
That’s why. The Vtech watch is COOL, and we want to have an excuse to check it out
Sphero BB robot OH MY GOD THE ROBOT IN THE STAR WARS TRAILER IS REAL AND I CAN CONTROL IT WITH MY PHONE. KIDS MAY NEVER GET TO PLAY WITH IT. EVER.
Parrot BeBop 2 We’ve been coveting a drone for like, ages. I mean, it’s that or a Go Pro. But a drone seems like the best of both worlds, because not only can we take photos and videos of amazing things, we can go spy on our neighbors, buzz annoying people at the park, use it as surveillance, use it to research our next bank heist, and have fun with a flying remote-controlled vehicle.
Top Secret Voice Changer No word of a lie, we can think of a few real life scenarios where using the voice changer would make our day. Weekly meetings, perhaps. Calling in to make doctor’s appointments.
Tekno Kitty I don’t know about you, but I have always dreamed of a little furry kitten head popping out of my stocking on Christmas morning. It is never going to happen, but perhaps this little Tekno Kitty will give the kids and I a few hours of fun! Apparently we can train it, and it responds to our voice… oh, and no letterbox is the BIG win here!
